-Why do you think we need media in teaching learning process ?

Answer :

We can know about function of media. It can help everyone in every aspects of life, also in Teaching-Learning process. The first, media is important for teaching learning process. Well, I think media as a supporting equipment in the teaching learning process and as a tool in order to achieve better results.  Media can really help both student and teacher/lecturer  in learning process, It way we also can using media to make the teaching learning process become easier, dynamic, more interesting, and efficient. I mean that media make it easier than traditional teaching-learning method, such as write the material on blackboard so we need media, such as Media visual, Media Audio/audial, Projected still media (OHP, proyektor, in foccus, etc) Projected motion media (TV, computer, movie, vcd, etc). We can use projected motion media especially computer. It is a machine created by human brain. The computer only facilities that is one of the media who need operator. Computer very global, simplify the job, able to store lots of data, easily, quickly, overcoming the passive nature, providing a broad insight. So, we can do a lot with computers because it’s facility that could help teachers/lecturer to explain the material easily flexible in learning. so, the material could be understood by students easily. Media could make the learners focus and do not feeling bored because it can use sound or picture from combination both two things.

we called Media Audio/audial and Projected still media. Media will really help teacher and students in listening audio, watching short movie/video, and simulating process during learning.

Therefore, implementation of using media in helping teacher and students especially in long-distance learning, it way uses education media(computer-mediated communication (CMC) and internet connection to interact between teacher/lecturer and the students), we can using in 4 basics skills of learning(Listening ,speaking, reading, and writing),in listening section requires audios, CD/recordings media, in addition, certain trusted sources (recording by native )will help students are acquainted with real English also supporting learning by demonstrations/simulations using media such us flash, power point, watching videos and other software which help student to understand deeply after they have been explained by the teacher and learned from the books. So the conclusion

teaching learning process using media is very important for us as a college student also teacher/lecturer, we felt more confident and interest if the teacher teach using the media ,because we could see the real life clearly.
